Hello Everyone, I have a dilemma on my hands.

I have a 222K 95 Ford Explorer (auto, XLT). A few weeks ago, i was heading home at 4 AM. The car was driving REALLY, REALLY slow. There was no power/acceleration. I told my dad about it and he looked under the hood.

He told me that I was dry on my transmission fluid. We poured two quarts back in and I drove it around the neighborhood to get things going again. Still no acceleration. Now when I drive the car, I hear a POP coming from the driver side under the hood when shifting from low gear to high. Also, the car shakes when I am driving. It doesn't shake when it is in park or neutral. The car is also "sputtering" when in park. Is my tranny out? I was planning to replace in the fuel filter and the transmission fluid filter to see if it helps.

Pray for my ONLY car! Any advice would also be appreciated!

Sounds like you have a misfire. Check engine light on?

Oh Yeah!

NO CEL! I even took it to the zone and hooked it up. Came out clean! I thought the CEL was broken but it's operational.
