Hi Folks,
Im trying to decide what style running board would look the best on my navy blue 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. Any photos and opinions would be appreciated. Im a newbie here. Just bought her a few weeks ago. Great Truck.
Thanks very much.

Hopefully a mod will see this one and move it to an appearance forum, probably won't get much exposure here... Check to make sure you're in the appropriate section to get the best responses... :)

I'm partial, but the molded boards that came factory option seem to look the best.

The bars look a little unfinished to me:

Your best bet will be to find a junkyard and find a set in there. Probably get them on the cheap, and you'll be able to use the factory mounting threads to hold them on.

your absolutely right. The molded boards as seen on the photo look the best. Can i still order them from the dealer?
Thanks for your help

You could order them from a dealer, just bring lots of cash as they are sold by each part.

Best bet honestly is a junkyard vehicle, or someone on here may have a set that they took off when building a off-roader truck...

your absolutely right, Junkyard or one here would be the best bet. I really appreciate your help with this as thats exactly the look i would like with my 96 explorer.
thanks so much for your help
