Hi this is my first post actually.
My dad has a 1996 XLT V8, and a few years back he had the steering rack replaced. After that, the turning radius when turning left was greatly reduced, while to the right it is fine. My dad says the shop was extremely frustrated with it trying to get it right and finally they got it where it is now and gave up. I think they even tried two different racks with no better luck the second time.
I've been meaning to register and post for a few years, but finally I've been driving the car this week and it's been bugging me. You can drive it fine, but maneuvering in parking lots is not any fun at all, nor making tight u-turns.
Is this a common issue? What should we do to fix it?
