1998 Explorer inside/driver door latch not working

Anyone know how to and if you can make any adjustments? only had this ride 2 days and trying to correct 1 of 3 problems it has.

Not really any adjustments. The inside handle pulls on a rod connected to the latch mechanism at back of door. The inside handle assembly sometimes breaks, so that is first thing to look at. You have to take the door skin off, but that is pretty easy as long as door still opens from outside.
