I need to replace the driver side door latch on my 96' XL 4Dr. I am trouble finding the latch, however I found a latch for a 1997 - 2001 4Dr Explorer. Since they are both 2nd gen, why shouldn't this latch fit on my 96'? They look exactly the same going by the picture. I am pretty confident that this latch will work for me, but does anyone know for sure?
