1998 Mountaineer Header Panel interchange

There are 2 different Header Panels for the 1998 Mountaineer...one for 'Before 6/98' and another 'After 7/98'

My Mountaineer was built 3/98. So I know I should the correct one, but they are hard to find. If I can install the easier one to find, the 'After 7/98' panel life would be MUCH easier.

But I need to know what I am getting into.

Anyone know the differences?

I was asking a few guys in the chat room about it, and they all concluded that it must be the 'hard change' from 1997/1998, as 1997 was a 1 year only front end on the Mounty...

Like I said, mine was built 3/98, and I have the same front end that was on the 98-01 Mounty's....why is there a mid year break in production parts in 1998....If the change was in 1997 it would be 100% Logical....but in 1998, I don't get it.
