I have recently had a second hand engine put into my Ex and I've had to have the immobiliser bypassed , the problem is know that when I put it into drive the gears are shifting higher through the rpm bracket i.e first to second at about 2,500 rpm second to third at about 4,000 rpm and it won't let me get top gear as this is about 5,500 rpm and then promply drops back down the box . Could this be a problem caused by the immobiliser being bypassed ???????????

It sounds like you have severe slippage. Did you check your fluid level? When was the last time the filter, and fluid were replaced? How many miles does it have? If your transmission is low on pressure (providing you checked it with a 0-300 PSI gauge), it could be related to a few things, such as the EPC solenoid, VB bolts, gaskets, clogged filter, boost valve, etc.
