I have searched the forums and cannot find the exact problem.

symptom: when turning at low speed there is a rumble noise and maybe a slight shimmy.

Last week I had the front right bottom ball joint replaced but there still remains a slight noise and shimmy.

I checked both differentials and the CV joints. All seem in good repair and condition with appropriate fluids.

It could be the power steering pump, but there does not seem to be issues steering.

I get the same noise too, i replaced my hubs the bearings went on my drivers side, most of the noise subsided, but i always noticed some noise when turning sharp while driving slow in 4x4, also make sure you arent accelerating when driving in 4x4 high.

I should add in that the noise started after taking a road trip to Baker City, OR from Seattle. All highway miles. That is when we noticed the original noise. We had the front right ball joint replaced and most of the noise went away (the major chattering) but some still remains.

I have replaced the front right hub as we thought a previous noise was the hub, but it was actually the tires (a big seperation lump in one tire). That said, I will have a good right hub/bearing set in the shop.
