1999 Explorer Transmission.

Hello. I am new to this forum. Drive a "99 Explorer XLT 4X4 w/5 speed auto trans with 256K miles. Transmission won't reliably stay in Torque Converter lockup on the road....in and out. Any ideas on how to stop the in-and-out of lockup? Thanks.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the transmission section. Is this the original transmission or was it rebuilt at one time? Take a look at the sticky thead on the top of the transmission section called the 5R55E valve body rebuild diary for more information.
