1999 Mountaineer 4.0 Ticking

Just like the title says. Did a simple tune up today, plugs and wires, and now there is a ticking noise that I can't seem to locate. It seems to be in sync with the motor, i.e. speeds up with acceleration slows down in deceleration. Ideas on what could be causing it? Thanks.

Figured it out. My number 3 spark plug was seated wrong. Pulled it and reinstalled, all is well.
