This happened about a year ago. I was trying to turn around to avoid driving though a pond and backed right into a swamp and SUNK! I got very high centered, we dug out as much as we could(wish I had a HiLift then), built cement barriers trying to keep the water back and tried numerous times to pull me out with my friends fullsize bronco and nissan hardbody but only snapped the rows and didn't budge. Eventually after 2 days of diggin we tried calling AAA. When he got there he said there was no way he was going down the trail for a AAA recovery but he said he would pull it out for $30 under the table. Well he pulled me out and I just missed the telephone poles as you can see in the videos. I ended up giving him $50 cause I felt bad cause his truck got stuck once too.

The tow truck that we eventually called and pulled us out after 2 days of digging and having gotten stuck himself...

My friend standing in the craters we left...

Back on solid ground...

Videos with some dumbass narations...

If you continue to wheel, it will defintely happen again. I had a point where I had never been stuck. But now, I have even had to be pulled out by a 6 wheel tractor.

Im guessing you're always pushing the envelope when you go wheelin, right black magic? =)

nice stuck.... my first real stuck cost $450 for an "off-road" recovery...... the pulled my truck out of a very muddy ditch.... about 1/4 mile away from any type of pavement... with a 4x2 tow truck... the guys that pulled it out though KNEW what they were doing.... in talking to them, they said they pit crewed for the baja 1000 a few years ago.....

I guess the 3" lowering with 20" rims helps you tackle the tough trails then? :D

heck yea

next investment....mud tires and for gods sake, get the rims dirtier;)

my first real stuck cost $450 for an "off-road
that brings back bad memories. i once went into a farmers field to pull my friend out and while i was hooking up to him the farmer came. costs us each 1500 for crop damage and attorny fees.

That was a year ago, funny you should say that cause now its sitting on 32" mud terrains. :)

The first time that I got my x stuck, my buddy pulled me out backwards with his x (sits 3" higher than mine). After he got me out, he went down into another hole and hit his horn for me to stop. Needless to say, I didn't here it and my receiver hitch hit right above the door handle on his 94 x. Caved the whole back end of his x in. We made up a bogus story so that my insurance company would pay for it, cost $2600. Good thing there was no damage to mine. I would have hated to pay a deductible.

We used my insurance that way there would be no out of pocket for anybody. Since there was no damage to my x, there was no deductible to be paid. Funny thing is that 3 weeks later, I got a notice from my insurance company increasing my accident free discount. Now, instead of paying $45/month for insurance, I only pay $40 for full coverage.

MEMMORIES!!

about a year ago now my friend was driving back in a farmers field and sunk in wet mud until his frame suctioned to the ground. he calls me up so i go out and asess the situation on foot first....we determined how close i could get before hitting any mud, yea right!!

-- it turned out the "dry" ground that was holding our body weight up was actually working sort of how ice works over water... it was able to hold us up so we thought it was dry ground.

-- so i drove my truck on it. PLOP!! mud above my running boards!! i tried desperately to get out but evetually i was able to sit in my driver seat and look straight out the windshield and have a nice view of the SKY... SIDEWAYS.

lol, in the end we each paid $150 (each!!) to have a tow truck use a big ol winch to get us out.

Note: that was a year ago... only TT/Shackle w/stock tires- though with how deep it was i think id still get stuck... maybe lizard would get through--- maybe!

This was the same idea up in George Washington National Forest. A few of the guys were jumping up and down on the ice, really trying to get me to go over it. They said that I had to go since I had the biggest x there that day and this is what happened.
