2" body lift, tt, and add-a-leafs~ what fits?

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, but I could not get the results I wanted from searching.

I am looking to add a 2" body lift in the near future. I will then do the torsion twist and probably add-a-leafs. What will be the biggest tires I can fit with no trimming or rubbing? I'm hoping to fit 33x10.50's. I will be keeping the stock rims because I like the way they look.

I did the TT and add-a-leaf/war153 in the back and the biggest I could get on (as far as outside daimeter, not width) was LT265-75-16 which is 31.6 inches in diameter. I didn't have to cut but I didhave to have take my stock mud flaps off the front.

Oh well. I was hoping not to go with a 3" and risk running into all of those possible complications. Nothing is ever that easy...

It won't matter between the 2" or the 3" on if you can fit 33's or not. If you want 33's you're going to have to trim at least a little. Just ask ray lobato. . he's got 4" suspension and 2" body and his 33's still rubbed without body mods.
And personally I'd go with the 2". It will give you all the room you need above the wheels, without the posibility of complications.

update: I origionally posted assuming you were going with 33x12.5. Its very posible that with either the 2 or 3" you could fit 33x10.5 on stock rims without rubbing.

Now I'm confused again. Does anybody know for sure if 33x10.50's will fit with a 2" body lift?
As it sits right now my Explorer has no lift and 31x10.50's. There is no rubbing unless I jump something or hit a bump at high speeds. Then the only rubbing is a little bit of the plastic inner fenders in the front. A 2" body lift will move them up 2". A 33" tire will only make it go up 1". I'm thinking by this reasoning that I'll have 1" more then than I do now. So up into the fender I think will be fine. (correct me if I'm wrong) Front to back of the front tires from hitting the back edge of the bumper and fender I have 1" in front and only 1/2" in the back. The tire will get 2" wider, but with the body being up 2" it will set it at a different point of the tire. Riding down the road will be fine, but under full compression and the tire turned just right I'm a little worried. (what do you guys think about that potential problem, I will not be trimming) I believe 2" for the rear fenders will be fine.
Another question I didn't think about earlier: will getting Bushwhacker Extend-A-Fenders affect anything? Would they rub the tire? (I don't know how they mount)
I want to only go with the 2", but I think I'm gonna have to go with the 3" just to be safe. Please somebody tell me I'm wrong.

Which gears do you have? I know that you know, but this is maybe something else you should consider while chosing your tire size, not just da rubbing.

Just get the 3" lift. I did the 2" first thinking I would save money. What a mistake. I put a 33x12.5R15 BFG KO tire on both the front and the back while I had the 2" and they both rubbed. Ilso with the 2" I would have had to get bumper brackets for the front made to raise it. With the 3" the brackets that come with the kit work. Save your self some time and money and go with the 3".

I only have 3.55's at the moment. When I finally get the 33's I'll be putting in 4.10's or 4.56's.

Part#883 I think, it is the 3" body lift from Performance Products for the 98-01 Ranger. You will need to order the steering extention from the other kit (95-97) since you have a 95. Also, just to let you know... your front lower valance (where fog lights are) will either have to come off, or you will have to figure out a way to cut the brackets for your lights. Your light brackets are going to hit the ends of your frame (where the bumper mounts) when it is raised.

Fog lights... Yet another thing to add to my gotta rig it up list. Step bars and grille guard will have to be lifted also. I have no welding tools so I hope I know what I'm getting into...

Yes 33/10.5/15 will fit if you have a 2in body lift and T-Twist and shackles with no rubbing on stock wheels I have BFG KOs and they have been great.

95 go off road, judging by your signature, you've got exactly what I want. How close do they come to rubbing? Would they fit without the tt and add-a-leafs? I'm going to be adding a grille guard and all with all that extra weight on the front I doubt I'll get much lift out of the twist.

It was mentioned getting only the body lift. but I'm wondering about the TT - shackle lift only.

Will 32 X 11.5 - 15s fit with the TT and shackles only? Or would It be better to stick with 31 X 10.5 - 15s and get a lot of stuff?

I just got my Warrior shackles in today and plan on doin the shackle/tt lift tomorow or on Wednesday. I am going to have the fender trimmed a little bit too by a bodyshop. Then taking it to the tire shop to see if I will be able to fit 32X11.5 /15's.

OffroadKc- I dont know much about the height differences in your 95 and my '00 but ill let you know what fits soon.

I dunno about you, but I'd get the 2" body lift and a set of fiberglass fenders. I'm pretty sure that you could run a 33 then no problem. There was an article at OffRoad.Com about putting 33's on a totally stock Ranger with no mod other than the 'glass from Fabtech. They said they only rubbed on the radius arm, and you won't rub on the radius arm ('cuz you ain't get 'em.. lol) I bet with Perry's fenders you could run a 33 without even the body lift.

32\11.50s will work but you will need to trim just a little and you can get an extra half inch more lift in the front with longer t-bar adjusting bolts, the only place I rub with my 33s is in the inner frender wells twisting off road but thats normall with out sway bars.
