- 2000 Ranger XLT (Rebuilt)
Hello,
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD. In 2006, it was rolled and twisted to all hell. My dad and good friend spent the last 4 years piecing her back together. The new cab was from a 2000 Super Ranger 4WD, and the bed a 2002 Ranger. For all the work they had to do, there are only a few electrical problems. The most concerning is...
1. No speedometer. ABS/VSS sensor on the transaxle has been checked. Pulling 1.1k Ohms (normal). I'm not sure if the problem is in the GEM, PCM or simply a wire that didn't get connected via the splice during the rebuild.
What I'm curious about... Do the 2000 and 2002 Rangers still share the same speedometer signal flow? Or are they different and come from different locations?
Any suggestions would be great!! Thank you!
