2000 Explorer XLT passenger door wont open from inside.

My 2000 Explorer passenger door wont open from inside, but it will open from outside. I took off the inside door handle, but couldn't figure it out. Also, the inside door handle seems to lock in a semi open position. Any suggestions?

your interior door handle is broken. this is a very common problem due to poor design. you'll need to get a replacement (salvage yard, auto parts stores, RockAuto or if you're feeling flush, Ford.
