2000 Ford Explorer - Defrost Only

On my 2000 ford explorer only the floor and defrost vents work? The vents that blow on your face do not. I can switch between Ac/Head fine, and i can set how high or low it blows. But for some reason it only works on the floor and defrost. Does anyone know how to fix it?

You have a vacuum leak, broken or burned vacuum hose or pulled off somewhere. Or broken linkage or vacuum motor. Possible vacuum switch. The vents are controlled by vacuum motors that open/close plenum doors. Check under the dash and under the hood.

thanks celly for the thread. I had two broken lines on near the vacuum reservoir got it working now and probably saved over $100 easily
