2000 ford Motor Knock

Sometimes you hear it bad then sometimes its faint enough that you dont. I dont see how this could happen but again i dont know all the history about the truck. I have a alot of receipts but there is always a limit to what i will know. Well as much information as i can get from this thread will help.

Is there anyone that has a 2000 explorer sport or not that has the OHV that has or is encountering the same issue that i am?

Yup, read my response about it earlier in this thread. I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse.

I have a 2000 ford explorer sport and it has 98K miles on it. The truck runs great and i love it except for one thing. A knock sound at least i think it is a knock sound at idle and only at idle. It sounds like a marble sound. I use high octane and i never noticed this before. ANy ideas?
did you ever get an answer about the marble noise and the engine knock or ping under a load questions. If so can you please pass them on to me at rlgough@yahoo.com

SeaFoam is my king. Do a search for it on google or on this forum and you will see what it is. I ran it through the intake, brake booster about 10 times. Of course about a quarter of the can at a time every week or so and the noise is gone. It was most likley all the carbon build up. I did use chevron in the gas about three times but i really think the sea foam is what helped. I did not put it in the oil or gas just were i stated above.
