Looking at installing an amp. Show me what you have done and how you did it. Much appreciated.

:rangergreen:/ How can I post a pic of my trac from my computer! without using an url!

Wow those are looking pretty intense. I have just bought a set of alpine type r's for the truck. I am putting those in tonight and hopefully and amp in the near future. I am thinking the compartment behind the rear seat or cutting into the rear seat. I like the look of hiding it in that rear seat. Do you have any diy on how to do that? Do you lose comfort?

You dont notice any difference when sitting in the seat. I did it following a tutorial on mysporttrac.com.

Type R's can slam. Feed them the power they need and you'll be happy.

Looks awesome I will have to give it a try.
I have a couple more questions. I have a double din pioneer deck and just got four Alpine type r speakers.

Should I buy an amp to power just the speakers?
An amp and a sub to power the speakers and sub?
Buy and amp and sub and power the sub with the amp?
Or just install the speakers into the factory wiring.

Have no idea about audio installs. Anything is a help.

You can power the speakers with the radio but quality will suffer. The RMS for type r door speakers is close to 50 watts plus the RMS out of your standard aftermarket deck reaches up to 20-25 watts RMS. Honestly a four channel amp is best for type r speakers. You can run two amps one sub one doors. Or get a five channel amp

Yeah I would obviously like to power off an amp so quality doesnt suffer. I guess that will be my next purchase.

What kind of amp am i looking for any special specs besides 4 channel.

Does anyone have any wiring diagram or how to video to wire speakers from the amp (located in the back of the truck)

I hope im not in over my head on this one.
