2001 explorer sport trac 4x4 system

just joined this community and i am hoping somebody might be able to help me out if they where i might be able to find a wiring diagram for a 2001 explorer sport trac and the 4x4 system. the one i have the lights do not come on, and i am not able to hear any of the relays clicking. also i have checking all the fuse and they did check out to be good. if anybody does have a link to the wiring diagrams or has any other ideas please let me know.

Sounds like your electronic shift motor may be bad, after you check the fuses and relays usually that is the next step
There are some tests you can perform, check the signals from the dash switch, etc but usually the shift motor itself is the weak part of the system

My 2001 Sport Trac had the same issue you are describing, there is a 4x4 control module located on the passenger side behind the trim panel its a little black box runs about $100 last I checked. The main reason I'd check this is it controls the dash light and the inputs from the knob on the dash, if it is the failing component then its a 4 screw and plug an play.

Start simple and make sure the switch is plugged in, sometimes when servicing the radio it gets forgotten.
