Hello all~
I've got a job on Friday, replacing the brake pads on my girlfriend's mom's mountaineer. 2001, V8 and AWD. The questions at hand are these:

To do the rear pads, are they just like doing the front ones?

How do I get the decorative chrome cover off of covering the wheel lugs?

How do I disable the air ride suspension (how do I find out if she has air ride)?

These may seem stupid but I'm used to the 1st gen explorers. Thanks all

George

For the most part they are, slightly different though.

Screw drive will do. I think the jack handle also works. Takes a little time to get them worked off.

The ARC off switch is located in the jack compartment.

Oil is straight forward. Filter is located above the front sway bar on the driver's side.

Have fun! :)

okay thanks. It's just spotless, black.. every bell and whistle, and not mine... just wanted to hear it from someone who had a bit more experience. Thanks!!
