I have a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT. The 4wd will not engage. When I twist the knob to 4H, there is no longer a click or a light on the dash, absolutely nothing happens. I have always used it in the past, but now I get nothing. I feel that I could fix the problem myself if I just had a better understanding of the entire system. I read in a forum that my particular year of Ranger has an all electric system, meaning no vacuum for the 4wd. Any thoughts and suggestions would be great!! Thanks.
