2002-2006 explorer towing capacity

Hi there guys, new to the forum and in desperate need of information..
i live in australia, and the ford dealerships dont have a clue on specs for the explorer.
so any help would be greatly appreciated.
im looking at purchasing the v8 2002-2006 explorer.
not 100% sure on which year model yet due to price.

i currently have a boat that weighs 2.5 tonne and is towed with a isuzu rodeo.
but now looking at a 3 tonne boat, and had the explorer in mind.

whats the specs on the towing capacity on these year models for the v6 and the v8?
also is there actually a towing capacity difference between the 4x4 and 4x2, ive heard the 4x2 can tow more, is this true?

and also is there a major difference between auto and manual towing wise?
i heard the auto can tow alot more....

The 06's with the 4.6 and 4X4 with the factory tow package (2 inch receiver) can tow about 7100 pounds the 4x2 a few hundred pounds more.
