2002 explorer ltd. edition rear window hatch problem

Hi all. i have this problem with my explorer. it seems i can lock the doors and the alarm will set itself and sometimes at any time. could be 5 minutes or 5 hours. the rear window latch will pop unlocked like i hit the button on the key fob.
if any one has heard of this problem,and may know how to solve it would be greatly appreciated. thanks to all who may have some input on this.

This sounds like the door sensors are not 'sensing' the door being shut.
WD40 the heck of the door latches has helped many.

I have the same problem but it mostly pops open at random times while driving. Have you found a solution for your problem?

Why would the door sensors have any thing to do with poping the latch?
