I tried to check and add fluid to the transmission of my 2002 explorer (The ones without a dipstick) and the little plug in the center of the big plug stripped. Now I can't get it out untill I have a replacement for it. Does anyone know where I can buy a new drain plug? I just need the little center plug but if I have to I'l buy the big one to.

THANKS

The threads are not stripped it is the spot where the allen wrench goes is stripped.

Try tapping a torx bit into the hole that you've stripped, this little trick has worked for me on other things. Also the dealership will sell you a new plug..there only a couple of bucks...Good luck!
