First off it's not mine but my brother's. He's a great Carpenter but a terrible mechanic. I fix his vehicles when I have time. Replaced the fuel pump a few weeks ago, today I had to drop the tank again to fix the Evap code which I'm hoping was a disconnected hose to the purge vent (I think). The list includes: transmission fluid change, rear differential leak on the left axle side, OD light flashing, and oil change. Gear oil all over the housing so I'll start with cleaning that up...

Welcome Ray. If you find the fix for the EVAP code please post what you did to fix it as my wife's 99 Sport got a EVAP code after I replaced the fuel pump.

So I reattached a vent hose I believe pulled off when we dropped the tank down to replace the fuel pump. I drove it a few miles after clearing the codes but apparently not enough to clear the history. Smog station was able to see the history and said it has to be driven several miles above 50 mph to make sure the codes don't come back. He's taking it back this afternoon to get (hopefully) smogged. I will post the results. You may have done the same thing when you dropped the tank. Problem is you can't see without dropping it again because it's on top of the tank.

Thanks Ray.

My brother reported to me that it passed smog!
Now for the transmission...
