I gave this a search, and it seems like a connector coming loose in the steering column is the common culprit, as shown here in this thread:

However, after I removed the covers, I couldn't find a connector that resembled anything like that was described. My main thing is I am unsure if the Sport Trac and normal Explorer share the same connectors. All of the connectors that I found underneath the covers were smaller in comparison and black.
Rear parking lights work when on and third brake light works. Rear main brake lights, rear turn signals and rear hazards do not work.
