2002 Keypad Code

Hi Folks,

Just picked up a used 2002 XLT that has the keypad as an option. Of course, I don't have a manual or the code. I know the dealer can provide that, as I've searched the forum. However, everyone who lost their code had an older Explorer. Does anyone know where this computer module that has the code on the sticker is located in a '02?

one of my friends was telling me the code was under my dask, or under the hood,... or somewhere around in there i forgot the exact i havent talked to him in a while but if i talk to him sometime soon ill ask him where it is

there is also a computer harness, or and actualy computer that controls it under the dash and it has the default setting for it on there... anyway thats what my frend told me, he knows alot about cars

If you call Ford, they will tell you exactly where the Factory default code is. That is how I got my code, for my 2000 Sport, and it was on the computer box, on the left rear side panel. Yours may be different being a 2002. Hope this helps! Oh yeah, it was free.
