2002 Lincoln Towncar Traction control

On my towncar when traveling up a grade, on dry pavement, when I bear to the left the Traction control kicks in. once I straighten up it goes back to normal.

Has anyone encountered this? I know it relies on wheel speed but not quite sure what else to look for.

Check the size of your tires to see if all of them are the same.

Both tires are Michelin P225/60R16, however one tire is Hydroedge and the other is a Pilot Sport.

I measure the tire's circumference on each. one is 1 1/2 inch smaller(Hydroedge)

I put that tire on the front, now both rear are the same. The traction control did not engage now.

the question is what effect would have one smaller tire on the front?

One tire will turn at a different rate than the opposite side if both are different diameters.
