I replaced the shifter bushing on the steering column yesterday. After this was done the dash lights were very dim, headlights were dim and it would not start. So I left it alone, as I only had 3 hrs sleep and figured it was not a good idea to investigate. I went out this morning and looked at the multi function switch and connector, appears fine. Put it back together methodically after hooking the battery back up, it started and worked properly. Had the radio playing for about 5 minutes and it went back to dim lights and not starting.I did not move the tilt wheel after it started working.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance

What happens if you put a jump starter on it, or jump it from another vehicle?

Logic would imply it was something you did, but that does not explain is starting this am.

When putting a jump box on, it still acts like low voltage and wont start. Now i just came out again and hooked the jump box up and it started.

Seems electrical - battery, connectors, alternator. Do these test out with your volt meter?

Or, but I cannot think of what you would have pinched, a short in one of the connectors or wires. Having just done this myself, I can't think of what you would have shorted.

Im not sure. Now it fine. I have left the radio on for 15 minutes now. So im going to set the radio in and let it set for a bit and see what happens, then hook up the cigarette lighter and 4wd switch. Hopefully it goes well. I hate eletrical issues
