Folks, has anyone replaced the heater core on a 2002 town car? I am trying to take the instrument panel/dash out and I know there are some hidden screws/nuts that I cant see.

is there a diagram that shows these? or if you took one out before, where are the hidden ones?

Thank You in Advance

Heater Core

Ok, I have the dash loose, but not out yet. So many things to disconnect! Making progress....There are 3 screws along the top of the dash that are hidden but once you remove the top vent panel, you can see them.

Haven't done a TC but I have done one in a CV and I feel you're pain.

Got the dash sitting in the front seat. Now I can see and get to the heater core housing. Problem is now I am having problems trying to get it remove from the cowl. Gotta be a hidden screw/fastener somewhere.

Does anyone have a diagram of the heater housing that shows the mounting screws??

Update

Well, job is completed. WOW! hope I don't have to do that again.

Very time consuming job. But it is nice to have a garage for it and to be able to work on it when you have time.

I found that the Haynes Repair Manual did not go into alot of detail for this task. I guess that was because it covered such a wide spread of years for the towncar.

If you need any advice on replacing the heater core on the 2002 towncar, i'd gladly let you know what I can.
