Hey guys, I've got a 2003 Sport that I've been working on for the better part of the year, and has a bit of a strange issue I'm trying to diagnose.
When I first bought this Expo, the O/D Light was blinking and Drive/Reverse were out. I immediately pulled the tranny and replaced the O/D sprag.
So I got it all back together the other day, and everything seemed perfect at first. Unfortunately after driving it a day or so I've noticed a few issues.
First off, the O/D light is still flashing, but only after driving 4-5 minutes. It doesn't seem to matter if it's while the engine's cold or warm. If you shut it off for a few seconds and start it back up, the O/D light will stay off again for 4-5 minutes.
All the while, even when the O/D light is flashing, the transmission seems to be shifting perfectly fine. All of the shift points are nice and firm, no slipping, and at 60mph I'm turning 2500 so it appears I'm definitely hitting O/D.
Any suggestions? Obviously something is wrong, it's just frustrating not know what it is.
