2003 SPORT TRAC manual tran cant shif

i noticed driving that clutch pedal seemed to be lower than usual. then wife got in next day and couldnt shift at all. checked fluid and that was ok. with engine off i can shift but when on cant shift. took cap off of resevoir and pumped but nothing happened

Clutch slave or master cylinder.

yes i have been told that and am trying to remove master from the clutch to test master. have been told that if master is disconnected i shouldn't be able to push pedal in. dont have tool to remove and told i can use a screwdriver but not working too well for me at the moment. if master is ok what can i do re the slave cylinder?

have disconnected master from slave and seems as master is bad as pedal can be pushed in with it disconnected from slave. so going to remove master and go to parts shop as i cant seem to find any matches from the pictures on the internet. THANKS KODA and i will let all know when i get it back together.
