2004 4.0 K Sport Trac - Engine Replacment help

My wifes truck is in need of a new engine. Is there a How-To that might cover this? I am going to have to do this my self and will need all the help I can get.

What are your plans? Junkyard, home rebuild, Jasper?

Definitely buy a Chilton's manual and enlist the help of a friend that has replaced an engine. You will also require excessive quantities of pizza and beer.

I'm going to try junkyard first. If no luck, then Jasper or whichever you folks think is best. I've found many site that say they're the best. Too many.

I went to 2002-2005 Explorer and searched engine removal

SOHC 4.0 on a 2002
