2004 Mouantineer Fuel Connecters

I am replacing the fuel filter and the quick connecter with the red tab on it coming from the gas tank has broke. Is this connecter part of the fuel line or does it pull out of the fuel line so I can put a new one in it. If any one has a part number id appreciate it. Also this is the quick connect that doesn't have that metal retaining clip. I wish ford would just use fuel line and a hose clamp but I guess that's not putting money in there pocket if they do it that way.
