- 2004 Eddie Bauer
I have a 2004 Eddie Bauer 4x4 with a V8. The transmission is one of the ones that doesn't have a dipstick.
The other day I was going up a small, uneven hill and one of the wheels slipped. The transmission apparently slipped. It start bucking when I gave it some gas and when I did give it gas there was a grinding noise. I stopped the truck and turned it off and back on and it was fine. It did it yesterday as well as I was crossing some uneven pavement where there was some construction.
I think I know what the ugly answer/solution will be but does anyone have any suggestions and or comments about this situation? Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
