2005 explorer 4.0L Error codes p0193 amd p0401

In the past few months ive notice a HUGE loss in fuel economy(down to 12mpg!) And a few weeks ago the check engine light came on. Autozone has pulled error codes p0401 (insufficient egr flow) and p0103 (fuel rail pressure sensor high input). My question is, is it likely for the egr and fps to have both gone bad. Or will one of these issues cause an error code for the other?

One bad sensor can cause multiple to read out of spec.
