2005 Explorer engine shake at idle

I have a 2005 explorer, 4.0 that is shaking at idle. Smooths out when I give it gas, and drives fine. Does not sound like it is missing through the tail pipe, but when I pulled the codes, it says there is a misfire on cylinder #6. This doesn't make sense to me, but it is what it is. I get a check engine light one in a while, but not consistently.

I changed the plugs, but I have not changed the wires yet. I will do that tomorrow. I am new here, so could someone tell me where to start? This is my wife's car and I need to get it fixed quick!

Could be the injector on that cylinder...not sure how to check it but if it is missing and it's not the plug or wire, might be worth a shot.

I thought about that, but it sounds just fine at the tail pipe. What about the IAC or the MAF sensor? How can I test the IAC? I know how to clean the MAF, just need to figure out how to unplug the goofy thing.

I changed out my fuel filter to fix a little shake at idle.
