I think I posted in the wrong forum so I placed it here and will delete the other. 2005 Explorer Sport Trac, new front wheel bearings. When you accelerate you get either a small shutter or grinding noise for a little then it goes away. It seems to happen the first time you drive it after it sits for a little. It seems you get some shake and shuttering a little as well. The ABS light stays on, once in a while the AdvTrac light comes on but no codes come up on the scanner. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the time in advance.

Pull the abs codes from abs computer, start there!
Who installed wheel bearings? Did it start right when bearing put in?

Local mechanic we know who is trustworthy, but I realized things happen. Drove around well after the bearings installed. Started to have ABS and Advanctrak errors "pop up" about 1 or 2 weeks afterwards. I will look into pulling the ABS codes, that is new to me. Thanks!

First thought is wondering if some bolt(s) were not torqued down enough and have come loose. You wrote "bearings" not hub, so is this RWD, and the front rotors have the ABS reluctor rings for ABS sensing built into the back of them? I'd take the wheel off and check every fastener, and that the ABS sensor is positioned close enough to the back of the rotor if it is the front rotor on a RWD vehicle.

Second thought is the ABS sensor pigtail connector was disconnected but then when reconnected, was not fully inserted. I know on 2nd gen, it's a bit fiddly to get at the mating connector and you do it mostly by feel. Another related possibility is the ABS sensor wire was manipulated during the repair and has frayed apart, internally if no external damage visible. I wouldn't expect that to cause shake and shudder, though.

Why not have the same local mechanic who did the prior work, take a look at it since it is probably something that went wrong and that he should fix (for free).

A regular OBD2-(only) scan tool may not pick up the ABS error codes, would need something capable of Ford-specific codes. If the light comes on, at least while the light is on, there should be a code.

Turns out I needed to replace the wheel speed sensors...that did the trick...
