Hello,
I just bought a 2005 mountnieer premier v8. I feel like I really have to push down the gas pedal to get going. The first few times of driving like a hard take off if that makes sense? Now I'm a little more use too how much pressure to apply but I am not sure if it's because it's a V8 more powerful(never had one before)or if this an issue? Any thoughts? Thanks!

The 2005 has an electronic throttle. The PCM may need to be reflashed, or there might be an issue with your throttle position sensor.

You shouldnt have to apply too much pressure to get up and moving with haste.

Cleaning the throttle body might help too, if it's dirty.

it's most likely your throttle body. Remove it, clean it with throttlebody cleaner and a toothbrush than reinstall it with a new gasket.
Then reset your PCM via the following procedure:

Do not attempt to clean the throttlebody on the car.

The issue you're experiencing is oil gumming up the butterfly valve causing a hesitation in the electronic throttle. This issue can occur with just 10,000 miles on the engine.
