2006 4.0 iac

I'm stumped. Where is the IAC on my engine? I cannot find it.

2004 and newer are "throttle by wire". No IAC, electronically controlled.

That is to say 2004+ Explorer's don't have IAC valves, 2001-05 Sport Trac's do. Isn't the ST an Explorer? LOL :scratch:

Here's what threw me. Advance Auto has an IAC which is an "Exact Fit for your 2006 Ford Explorer XLT".

My truck, a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT (V6) has no object of that shape anywhere.

Let me tell how stupid I am. I thought I had found it (on the throttle body). Turned out to be the throttle motor casing cover.

Don't feel bad, RockAuto has also thrown many people off. VERY surprised they are STILL listed. No throttle cable = no IAC. Period.
