2006 Explorer Radiator Replacement

I was just wondering if anybody had pics of a radiator replacement for that year or range of years for that body style.

My mom is having the electrolysis issue so she needs the radiator replaced. I can get the radiator for $140 and replace it for her and save $700. I've never replaced or worked on an Explorer so I just need to figure out if I can handle it.

Have you corrected the "electrolysis issue"? Your new radiator is going to suffer the same fate if the problem still exists.

Just got finished with my replacement. Took me about 6 hours from start to finish. This guide was perfect.

Can I add a couple things.. I got away without pulling the fan. Also, I suggest pulling the thermostat housing and topping up the block before you fill the rad, or air gets stuck behind it and you get problems.
