I recently attempted to install a Sirius Radio in my stock 2006 Eddie Bauer Explorer. The female antenna input plug on the radio was damaged. I bought the same radio (single CD) on eBay and after installation the replacement is completely non-functional. I don't know if the used replacement is bad or does the radio have to be reprogrammed at Ford. The original radio is a single unit am/fm CD model# 6LT2-18C869-AK and replaced with the same exact model#. Does anyone know if the unit had to be reprogrammed?

Thank you!

You more than likely bought a bad radio.
Contact the seller and get a refund.

The radio should be plug and play.

Thank you. It does appear you are right. Really appreciate the response. Way to much misinformation out there.

You're welcome. Happy to help. :)

I suggest just going out to a scrap yard to get one. Cheap and you can more than likely test it there..
