2006 Ford Explorer XLT with rear end damage.

Hi everyone , I found this forum after searching for some info on rear end damage as I was in an accident on July 8 2010 was rearended , I was not in fault anyway needs to know if there is anything I should beaware of after my 2006 Ford Explorer XLT is repaired. The back door will not open bumper is pushed up against it and the right side at the bottom of door has about a 2-3 inch bend can see outside from inside the vehicle . The other person did not hit me square on apparently tried to swerve to the left as I braked for a bus up ahead of me , apparently not paying attention at the time. Would it be a good idea to trade it off after it is fixed to avoid problems later on , it only has 70,000 kms on excellent condition otherwise. Thank-you in advance for any advice I can be provided with.
