Hey, all!

Something strange happened today, when I started the car, the AC blower went to full power, and did not respond to the controls that seems to work properly ... The Fan level indicator is working, and responding to the controls, but the Blower motor stays at full power. Turning the system off doesn't help either.

I only just bought the car, and it didin't drive much (spent 2 weeks sitting out in the cold though)

Has anyone seen this?

10x,

Yakir

Sounds like it could be the blower motor speed control module. Do a search and you should find all the info required to replace it.

Thanks for the quick reply!
It might be the Blower speed controller, but the whole EATC doesn't behave right ... I am unable to run the self test procedure.
I turn ignition on, (Blower starts at full speed)
I make sure the EATC is off (By pressing the Off button, which has no effect)
I then press the Off + Floor buttons at the same time,
Within 2 secs I press the Auto button, but that causes the EATC display to turn on, and show me the temp. it is set to , and the blower level indicator (Not effecting the Blower motor speed!)

I would love to make sure it's the speed controller before I buy a new one ...

Am I doing the self test procedure correctly?

10x,

PS: here is a clip of the way it behaves ...

Not sure on the self test, but the module is accessible to remove. Pull it out and have a look see. The heat sink on my old one had a lot of corrosion on the fins. Probably from excessive condensation.

I think the module defaults to high speed when it craps out.
