2006 mountaineer p0741 code

i have an 06 merc mountaineer thats throwing p0741 code and wrench light. the car will not shift out of park unless i rev the engine but once its driving it drives fine. hoping somebody can give me some ideas here. i had a new transmission installed about 30k miles ago (car has 195k total)

The P0741 code means the lock up function in the converter is not working, possible causes can be the converter itself, valve body issues, solenoid block problems, anything that can prevent the converter from engaging its clutch. You could try to inspect the valve body for problems and if no issues are found reassemble with a new solenoid block and cross your fingers.

I dont understand what the park issue is about, I dont see how reving the engine has anything to do with park.
