2007 Sport Trac Instrument Cluster Replace

Hi all,

This is my first post. Purchased my 2007 Sports Trac V8 Limited full loaded in August 2006. 105k miles now and love it. Anyhow, beginning to do my own work as the dealership is raping me.

My instrument cluster light when out. Specifically, the light on the speedometer seems to be out. The temp gauge is bright.

What type of bulb do it need, is the panel easy to take off? Is the bulb solder in or a twist? Can I replace with LEDs? Looks like two hex bolts under the steering column, then four more under to remove the cluster? Lights are on back.

Is the above link an accurate description of the 2007 Sports Trac?

I read there is no need to upload and dl data because I am not replacing the panel.

Any suggestions to online sites to where and what I can purchase?

The above link looks right, just ignore the posts about it being a simple #194 bulb. YOUR instrument cluster bulbs have the base integrated. You replace the bulb & base as its one unit. That link also gives the part number: 6L2Z-13466-A

I would probably replace all 4 of the main ones while you are in there. Bulbs have a certain life span, right?
