2008 LED turn signals

Ok so I have yet to find a solid answer on the 08 and newer Explorers. I replaced my the signals with LED. As expected I now have the hyper flash and info center giving the check LR,RR,LF,RF turn signal warning. Took to a dealer to have the SJB reflashed and they told me that they went into the SJB menus and that was not a feature that could be turned off. I would like to avoid the resistor route if possible. Can anyone give a definate answer on how to solve this issue for good? Thanks in advance!

They make LEDs now with built in resistors. Little bit more than cheap ebay ones, but fairly easy to find.

are those called 'can' compatible? do they just build in a resistor to accomplish that?
