2010 Explorer seat heater issue

how to change pass. side seat heater light comes on on dash but seat stays cold
 






Id verify that its not a failed relay first. Then you need to test for resistance to verify you have a failed heater. At that point you need to source heaters. From ford only my guess. Remove seat covers, and then CAREFULLY remove the old heater. It is held on by adhesive, and if you bugger up the seat cushion you will have a very hard time sourcing a new one, might get lucky at a junk yard.
 






Any seat heater element can be wired in if there is a short in the two wires going into your seat heater. These are readily available on eBay and Amazon.

Picture shows a new aftermarket lower heater element installed, the upper element is OEM and came with the seat. A short in this element was the reason it failed. Works perfect now.

Check attached wiring digrams, yours may be similar.
