Hi All,
Looking at purchasing a 2010 sport trac, need to know how to remove rear
headrests to give ourselves another 2 inches of feet room for my 21 month old. The head rests push out the back of the child seat closer to the front seat. I know there is pin holes on them but what do I do with them?
Any info would be appreciated

Did you pull the tab that releases the headrest toward the window?

To pull the headrests out use a paperclip and depress the tab in the pin holes.

I ended up using the smallest allen wrench I could find to release the headrest. I can't remember where the hole is, but it's only 2 mm in diameter. Just push the short end of the allen wrench in and depress the mechanism inside and then lift up on the headrest, a lot like removing the front-seat ones, but within a button.
