My 2011's hazard and cd eject(not used anyway) buttons have stopped working. The Ford dealer said the part(trim) is unavailable and the entire system(screen and trim) needs to be replaced as a assembly to the tune of over 1k. In discussion with a friend I was made aware that there are options available to replace the factory setup. Looking at Crutchfield all of the options retain the factory trim and HVAC controls. I was looking on other sites and you can get a full Tesla like screen. This would fix my hazard button issue.
But has anyone installed one of these systems?
How do the heated/AC seat controls work?

There are several existing threads on upgrades including the Tesla style. Here is one of them;
How often do you really use the Hazard button?
Have you looked into getting a used one either from an auto recycler or sites like eBay or Amazon?

Thank you Peter. Yes I have checked, but the plastic is very brittle. Most of the used ones are already broke. Its not really a button its like a touch sensitive deal.

There has been multiple times I would have liked to have hazard lights. But they are in the "I'd rather have them and not need them" category.
