2012 Ford Explorer traction control light after a wheel alignment

Hi, my mechanic replaced the tie rod and control arm and brought it to another shop to do a wheel alignment. After a week, the traction contro light flashes intermittently for one second and the wheel locks for a split second then I have to center the steering wheel to center and it goes away. What could be the problem? Is this car safe to drive? Thanks
